Key Principle: GNST is a user-initiated, privacy-respecting personal audit tool. We only process data you explicitly choose to upload or provide for your scan, and we delete everything within 7 days.
1. Introduction
Gonnae No Say That ("GNST", "we", "us", "our") operates gonnaenosaythat.co.uk (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our social media content screening service.
2. Who We Are
Data Controller:
Guard-e-loo Ltd
Trading as Gonnae No Say That
Company Number: SC862791
Registered in Scotland
Email: support@gonnaenosaythat.co.uk
ICO Registration Number: 00012692047
We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller and comply with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and relevant Scottish consumer protection law.
3. What GNST Is (and Isn't)
GNST IS:
- A privacy-focused content review tool
- User-initiated and consent-based
- Designed for personal awareness and self-audit
- Temporary processing with automatic deletion
GNST IS NOT:
- ❌ Surveillance or monitoring
- ❌ Scraping or automated account access
- ❌ Credential-based or live access to your accounts
- ❌ Reporting to authorities or government agencies
- ❌ Training AI models on your data
- ❌ Selling or sharing your data with third parties
GNST operates only on data you choose to upload via official platform export files.
4. Information We Collect
4.1 Account Registration Information
When you sign up for our service, we collect:
- Email address (required for service delivery)
- Name (if provided during signup)
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe - we never see your full card details)
4.2 Uploaded Social Media Data
You explicitly upload data export files from social media platforms, which may contain:
- Posts, comments, and reactions
- Private messages (only if you opt in to private message reviewing)
- Images and media files referenced in your exports
- Metadata from platform exports (timestamps, locations, platform identifiers)
- Profile information included in the export
You remain the owner of this data at all times.
4.3 Optional Public Footprint Information
If you choose to run the optional public footprint preview, we collect:
- Public identifiers you provide, such as names, handles, profile names, project names, domains, locations, or professional context
- Public search result metadata, including titles, URLs, source domains, snippets, provider name, result type, rank, language, and fetch timestamp
- Limited public page excerpts and analysis where needed to prepare your private report
We do not send uploaded archives, private messages, completed reports, email addresses, payment identifiers, deletion tokens, or internal GNST account identifiers to the search provider.
4.4 Technical and Usage Information
We automatically collect:
- IP address (for security and audit purposes)
- Browser type and version (User-Agent)
- Device information
- Access timestamps
- Service usage patterns (upload completion, report access)
4.5 Audit Trail Information
For legal compliance and security, we maintain audit logs of:
- Terms & Conditions acceptance (with timestamp, IP, and user agent)
- Upload events (platform, filename, timestamp)
- Report generation and access events
- Payment transactions
- Data deletion requests
5. How We Use Your Information
5.1 Primary Service Delivery
Your uploaded data is used solely to:
- Scan content for potentially sensitive material
- Generate a private, password-protected report
- Provide contextual explanations and risk assessments
- Deliver the completed report to you via secure link
- If you opt in, locate publicly available web content relevant to your candidate-authorised scan and prepare the public footprint section of your private report
5.2 Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)
We process your data under the following lawful bases:
- Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide the service you requested
- Consent: You explicitly consent to uploading and processing your social media data
- Legitimate interests: Security, fraud prevention, and service improvement
- Legal obligation: Compliance with UK tax law, accounting standards, and data protection requirements
5.3 We Do NOT Use Your Data For
- ❌ Training AI models or machine learning
- ❌ Marketing or advertising purposes
- ❌ Selling or sharing with third parties
- ❌ Profiling or automated decision-making
- ❌ Research or analytics beyond service improvement
6. Data Retention and Deletion
6.1 Uploaded Social Media Data
Automatic deletion after 7 days. Your uploaded files and generated reports are automatically and permanently deleted 7 days after report generation. This includes:
- Original uploaded archive files
- Processed data extracts
- Generated scan reports
- Temporary working files
6.2 User-Initiated Early Deletion
You can request immediate deletion of your uploaded data at any time via the "Delete My Data" button in your report. When you do:
- Uploaded files are immediately deleted from our servers
- Your report remains accessible until the 7-day expiry
- We log the deletion event for audit purposes
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
6.3 Account and Payment Data Retention
We retain certain data for legal and accounting requirements:
- Payment records: 7 years (HMRC requirement)
- Audit logs: 12 months (security and compliance)
- Account email: Until you request account deletion
6.4 Public Footprint Data
- Public identifiers and search jobs: Retained only for the scan/report lifecycle and deleted under the same 7-day report retention posture
- Public search results and page excerpts: Retained only as needed to prepare and display your private report, then deleted with the report
- Provider logs: We record provider name, status, timings, and failure information for operational purposes, but do not log raw search queries
- Source attribution: Reports may show the public source domain and provider attribution so you can understand where a result came from
6.5 Right to Deletion
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. Email support@gonnaenosaythat.co.uk to request:
- Immediate deletion of uploaded data (before 7-day expiry)
- Immediate deletion of public footprint identifiers, search results, and page excerpts
- Account closure and data erasure
- Removal from mailing lists
Some data may be retained for legal compliance (payment records for tax purposes).

- Infrastructure: Hosted on secure AWS infrastructure in the UK/EU region

6.1 Permitted Use
You may use GNST only for:
- Personal review of your own social media content
- Informational purposes related to job applications or professional reputation
- Self-awareness and content auditing
6.2 Prohibited Use
You must NOT:
- Upload data belonging to others without explicit consent
- Use the Service for commercial surveillance or monitoring
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent security measures

7. Intellectual Property Rights
7.1 Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to the data you upload. By uploading data, you grant us a limited, temporary licence to:
- Process and analyse the data to provide the Service
- Generate and deliver your report
- Store the data for up to 7 days as specified in our Privacy Policy
- Use public identifiers you provide to run an optional candidate-authorised public footprint preview, if you choose that feature
This licence automatically terminates when your data is deleted.
7.2 Our Content
GNST, including our website, reports, algorithms, and brand materials, are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission
- Reverse-engineer our algorithms or systems

- Download and save your report for personal reference
- Share with professional advisers under confidentiality
You may NOT:
- Publicly post or redistribute reports
- Use reports for commercial purposes
- Modify or create derivative works from reports
8. Service Availability and Modifications
8.1 Service Availability
We strive to maintain Service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to:

- Security incidents or updates
- Force majeure events beyond our control
8.2 Service Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes affecting paid users.
8.3 Processing Time
Report generation typically completes within 24 hours of upload. Processing time may vary based on:

9.4 Third-Party Content
We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or reliability of content in your uploaded data. You are solely responsible for the content you upload.

If you opt in to the public footprint preview, GNST uses the Brave Search API, rather than Google Search, to locate publicly available web content relevant to your candidate-authorised scan. Search queries may include your name or other public identifiers you provide. Brave Software, Inc. is based in the United States, so limited query data may be processed outside the UK or EEA.
GNST minimises the information sent to Brave and does not provide Brave with uploaded social-media archives, private messages, completed reports, email addresses, payment identifiers, deletion tokens, or internal GNST account identifiers. Brave results are used only for public-web discovery and report preparation.
Public search results may be incomplete, outdated, misleading, or about someone else. GNST treats them as public trace candidates, not employment suitability decisions.
