How to Get Your Social Media Data

We need your Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit data archives to scan for potentially problematic posts. Follow the guides below to request and download your data.

📘 Facebook

Time required: 1-48 hours (Facebook needs time to prepare your archive)

What you need: Download Your Information (DYI) in JSON format, last 5 years

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Download Your Information
  2. Select JSON format (important!)
  3. Choose last 5 years
  4. Request the download
  5. Wait for email from Meta (1h-2 days)
  6. Download your archive when ready

📷 Instagram (and Threads, if used)

Time required: 1-48 hours (uses same system as Facebook)

What you need: Download Your Information in JSON format, last 5 years

  1. Go to Instagram Settings → Download Your Information
  2. Select JSON format
  3. Choose date range
  4. Request the download
  5. Wait for email (1h-2 days)
  6. Download when ready

🤖 Reddit

Time required: Instant (usually ready within minutes)

What you need: Reddit data export (all data)

Go to Reddit Data Request →
Quick steps (click to expand)
  1. Go to Reddit User Settings → Privacy & Security
  2. Click "Request Data"
  3. Usually ready within minutes
  4. Check your email for download link

✅ Once You Have Your Data

  1. Download all archives to your computer
  2. Don't unzip them - we need the original files
  3. Upload to us using the link in your invite email
